Dorte Kristensen MA (Århus 1963) is architect director at atelier PRO architects. She spent two years of her architectural studies at TU Delft and subsequently worked as an architect in London. In 1989 she graduated from the Arkitektskolen in Århus. In her work, she combines Dutch pragmatism with a Danish sense of poetry. Her projects for atelier PRO – which comprise schools, universities, town halls, museums, cultural centers and hospitals – illustrate her belief in architecture as a means of connection: between people, buildings and the world at large, and between past, present and future – because timelessness is the ultimate form of sustainability.
